Performance Advantage provides young people who have an interest in Performance Analysis with the opportunity to undertake either a full-time placement as part of their undergraduate studies. Here is a brief insight into some of those who we have enjoyed working with:
Natalie Greening
Natalie spent 2010-11 on placement with Performance Advantage and came back to work for the company for 2 years between 2012/2014. Having gone on to work with Cricket Tasmania, Natalie is now an analyst with Surrey CCC.
Emma Gibson
Emma was one of three placement students with Performance Advantage during 2014-15. Here’s her placement poster which won top prize on her return to University in October.

Joel Scrafton
Joel joined Performance Advantage for 2014/15, having graduated from Bath, he then rejoined the Team on a Full-Time Basis for the 2016 cricket season working with Yorkshire CCC and Durham CCC. Joel now works with Hawk-Eye in their Goal Line technology division in Football.

Sam Francis
Alongside Emma and Joel, Sam spent 2014/15 with Performance Advantage. During his time with us he took the lead role with Durham Mens Hockey, whilst working closely with Durham Wildcats.
Chris Stark
Chris spent a year with the company between 2014-15, leaving to studying for an MSc in Sports Coaching at The University of Worcester alongside working with Worcester Warriors in the Aviva Premiership.
Ellie Furmidge
Ellie joined Performance Advantage in October 2015, working across the board in the University Season. In the summer months of 2016 she focused upon pre-game iBooks for Durham and Yorkshire CCC, before going on to work with the Southern Vipers in the 2016 Kia Women’s Super League. (See her Blog)
Daniel Wiseman
Daniel is originally from Malmesbury, Wiltshire and studied a degree in Sport and Social Sciences at the University of Bath. He has a keen interest in cricket having played from a young age whilst also possessing an interest with a number of other sports. Dan worked predominantly with Durham CCC at all levels during the summer whilst working on a number of other projects throughout the duration of the placement.

Bertie Kennedy
Bertie grew up in Cookham, Berkshire and studied Sport and Exercise Science at Bath University. Bertie worked predominantly with Yorkshire CCC, working heavily with Tableau. Bertie has since joined the company on a full-time basis (see Our Team).

Sam Eastaugh
Sam grew up in Southfields, London and studied Sport and Social Sciences at Bath University. Sam’s main interests are Cricket, Rugby, Football and American Football.
Sam worked with DMP Sharks in the Tyrrells Premier 15s, regularly attending away games and coding individuals for the RFU. During the summer Sam was predominantly based at Durham CCC.
Jamie Richardson
Jamie grew up in Uppingham, Rutland and studied Sport and Exercise Sciences at Bath University. Jamie has a keen interest in Cricket, Hockey and Rugby and worked with DU Hockey and Durham MCCU, before supporting Durham CCC and Opta during the summer.
Laura Heyworth
Laura grew up in York and currently is in her final year of her Sport and Exercise Science degree at University of Bath. Laura plays Netball and Volleyball, and has an interest in Rugby. Laura worked across the Durham and Newcastle University programmes during the winter programme.

Tom Brindley
Tom grew up in Rugby, Warwickshire and is currently in his final year studying Sport Management at Loughborough University. He has a keen interest in Football, Hockey and Golf, and lead the analysis with DU Hockey last winter. During the summer Tom predominantly worked for OPTA based at the Emirates Riverside.
